"Behind on posts, already."

Okay, So I'm behind on my posts.
Forgive me.
come on.
I'm a college student.

"Hello, we brought cookies."

Sunday was by far, the longest day of my life.
We went to church at 2:30.
How random is that????
Yeah, so that morning lasted forever.
But, we did make cookies for all our neighbors on our floor, which was fun.
It was awesome to meet everyone and see what kind of people I want to pursue a friendship with.
Most of them are pretty awesome.
So church went from 2:30-4, JUST Sacrament meeting and then we went to a meeting with the entire stake to re-assign the names of the wards and then we went back to our ward, so by time we got done it was 6:30!!
4 hours at church?? STRAIGHT sitting?? KILLER!!!

"Taste of Logan."

Hello.
Today was another packed day.
Connections is slowly coming to a close.
Tomorrow is the last day.
YESSSSSS!!!!

We did "Taste of Logan" tonight.
It was a lot of fun. We got a punch card through our Connections Class and we were able to go throughout Main Street and sample all kinds of food.
I enjoyed it.
But the best part was loading on to the Bus that bussed us from Campus to Main Street.
We crammed SO many people on that bus. It cracked me up.
I seriously had 10,000 people against my body, well almost.
Then, we chose to head over to Bri and Betsy's "crib" and played with Brianna's Mac on Photobooth:

It was super funny. We met this two crazy funny girls on the bus & invited us to a dance party in their apt. (Valley View Tower) My heavens it was weird.
I went with Betsy and Brianna over to it.
It was in the basement and had the most rap crap music I've heard in a long time.
There were a ton of guys there too, and some were kind of freaky looking.
We stayed there for a couple minutes, but then left.
It was just a weird atmosphere.
The "DJ" had those freaky earrings in his ear, those kind that look like a peg! It not only goes IN their ear but hangs out in the back.
He at least had 3 different hairstyles and hair colors too.
He was kind of interesting.
Just a wee bit.
Anyhoo, so that is what my day consisted of.
So till we meet tomorrow.
Adios.

"Tim Gabrielson-comedian night."

Today was another day at Connections.
My heavens! It lasted for FOREVER.
We learned about credit cards, parking, the bus system, and tons of other LONG boring things.
But, you know, you just suck it up and do it, you know?
We did that from 9-4 and then we got home and were FREED.
Okay, it wasn't THAT dramatic, but it sure was long!
I came home and took a nap, I was SOO tired.
Oh and then we went to Dinner at the Marketplace and we met a friend named Selina.
She is super funny and she hung out with us the rest of the night!
&
Oh, and my roommate bouight a fish yesterday.
His name is Henry and she did a photoshoot with him.
Like a legit one.
She is such a funny girl, She just makes me laugh all day.
Good thing we roomed together!

Love it?? Me too!!
&
This comedian came to the Kent Concert hall. Check him out..http://keepitfunny.com/
He is so stinkin' funny.
I couldn't even handle it!
I almost died...
of laughter.
But I wanted to share one thing that stood out to me, he said, "I hope that in these last 60 minutes..that all the pain and sadness you have inside you left. He said that laughter is the medicine of happiness."
I just found that inspriring.
I just found him a really genuine guy.
I really hope that I can continue to laugh a lot and lift those people's spirits' around me that need more...
Laughter.

"BBQ and V-Ball Scrimmage."

Yesterday was GREAT.
I went to the BBQ with my roomies and Betsy and Brianna.
We had Aggie Ice cream, of course, Free.
We also went to a Volleyball Scrimmage which was a lot of fun.
I also saw my cousin Allia. It was wonderful to see her. I haven't seen her in so long.
She is living off campus, but I will make sure and hang out with her regularly.
I am so glad to be up here.
I have really enjoyed it so far.
It is awesome.
At the Volleyball Scrimmage.

"The Beach @ Bullen."

Hey.
So today was my last day of Summer.
Oficially.
I went swimming this morning with my new friend AnJeanette and one of my roomies Jessica.
It was awesome to be back in the pool.
It seems like I was back in my element but out of it.
It felt fabulous to be back in the pool, but I feel so out of shape.
I also went to, "The Beach."
"The Beach," is just the grass in front of our apartment, Bullen.
So, after we went swimming, AnJeanette and I went to "The Beach," and we got our beach towels, umbrellas, tanning lotion and our lunch.
It was a lot of fun.
She is such a nice girl.
We have a lot in common, so it makes it super fun because we both did swim team and taught swimming lessons..
We are official work out buddies.
We're going running tomorrow.
AnJeanette and I at the Beach

Oh also, I met a new friend, his name is Orlando.
We made a music video for my roomie Kristy.
She is from California, and we sang her California Gurls, our style.
It was funny.
& then he had me add him on Facebook and then he wanted to me "Facebook stalk" him while he was there. Which was interesting!
But, he is really funny and makes me laugh.
So I might have more adventures to document about.
The music video is on my roommates blog, http://dacypulsipher.blogspot.com/
Just scroll down a bit and it'll be there.
Enjoy!

"First time in a Singles ward."

Hello Hello.
It's Day 2.
Umm..let's just say nothing much happened today.
I went to church with Shayla and Jessica at 10.
We met with the entire stake in the gym.
Holy heck there are a ton of people.
The sacrament and talks were great.
All the talk were entertaining.
Which sure beats some of the talks I've heard in the past.
No offense.
Ha!
Anyways, we later broke in by ward and we met our bishop, Gary Olson.
He seems to be a really great guy, and so do his counselors.
I think it will be weird to not have my bishop my bff's dad (next door neighbor) or my dad.
We'll see, It's just another adjustment I'll have to get used to.
We had family prayer tonight...
that was...uhh...good?
I don't know it's kind of weird. A good idea, but interesting...

Ohh....good good news, Kristy moved in last night!
I think we scared her.
Honestly.
Hopefully she'll survive us.
Haha. I bet she feels overwhelmed that we've all been here and set up.
I like her.
She seems really easy going and nice.
It'll be good.
Talk to you tomorrow.

Day 1 "Welcome to Logan."

hey! well, i made it.
it went well.
honestly.
I don't know why I was having these stress ulcers this morning at like 12:30 AM.
But I am just so glad that it turned out so great.

here is what the day consisted of:
*getting up at 7AM to finish packing
*having katie swing by and almost break down.
*saying"bye" to mille and get a quick picture..(I don't know how long she'll be around for)
*receiving a great father's blessing.
*receiving some cash and a card from the Gagons. Gotta love those cute folks.
*having courtney swing by and give me the biggest hug ever.
*saying "bye" to shannon in the car.
*going to Gia's pizza, which was SO good. I almost died of delish.
*meeting...Dacy, my amazing roomate, and Shayla (which I had already met), Jessica and Mackenzie.
*moving into my gorgeous new room, well gorgeous..for a dorm room.
*going to DI and getting thee cutest bowls and cups imaginable. See picture below.
*eating leftover pizza for dinner.
*going to Walmart with Dacy @ 11:30 PM and buying a thong....our first inside joke!! :)

I am so grateful how quickly Dacy and I have connected.
I can't even explain it.
We are probably secretly titled, the insane roomates in the insane room. But heck, i think it's good.
She is so sweet and genuine.
I'm loving that chicka.
I'm grateful I am having a great time thus far..
Til tomorrow we will speak.

XOXO,
L
